Under the Sisterhood is a global storysharing platform and social impact company dedicated to documenting, preserving, and elevating women's lived experiences. Through stories spanning health, identity, work, culture, and every stage of life, we bring together voices from across generations and around the world.
We're building what we describe as a Smithsonian for women's lived experiences, a living repository where stories become Women's Lived Experience Intelligence™.
At the heart of our work is listening. One story inspires. Hundreds reveal patterns. Together, they become the understanding needed to shape healthcare, innovation, research, policy, and culture.
What we do:
Under the Sisterhood documents, preserves, and elevates women's lived experiences across every stage of life, building a living repository of women's stories spanning health, identity, work, culture, and the human experience.
Through our storysharing methodology and Women's Lived Experience Intelligence™, we transform lived experiences into patterns, insights, and understanding that help inform healthcare, innovation, research, education, policy, and culture.
We partner with healthcare organizations, corporations, nonprofits, educators, foundations, and communities to create:
Women's Lived Experience Intelligence™ platforms and insights
Under the Hood lived experience initiatives
Documentary films and DocuArt™ experiences
Storysharing experiences across digital, audio, film, and live events
Education and engagement programs grounded in lived experience
Intelligence Reports that translate stories into actionable insight
Our work sits at the intersection of storysharing, research, education, and social impact, ensuring women's lived experiences help shape better decisions, stronger communities, and meaningful change.
Our belief: Women's lived experiences deserve to be heard, documented, and preserved.
Our mission: To document, preserve, and elevate women's lived experiences, transforming stories into understanding that informs healthcare, innovation, research, education, policy, and culture.
Our vision:
A world where women's lived experiences shape the systems that define their lives, creating more equitable communities and opportunities for generations to come.
