Today we’re Marching for Change with Kyrstin Johnson, a daughter, sister, friend, and a Division I NCAA collegiate gymnast, entrepreneur, author, and trailblazer whose impact on the sport extends far beyond competition. She made history as the first HBCU gymnast in the state of Alabama and the first HBCU gymnast to win a national vault title, cementing her legacy as a record-breaking athlete. Known for her power, precision, and presence, Kyrstin has also become a viral gymnast, drawing worldwide attention and bringing fresh energy and culture to the sport of gymnastics.
Beyond the podium, Kyrstin is the CEO of KJ Flips, LLC and the author of a children’s book that promotes confidence, perseverance, and self-belief. She is also a strong advocate for mental health, using her voice to encourage balance, wellness, and honest conversations within athletics. Through mentorship, leadership, and storytelling, Kyrstin empowers young athletes to embrace their individuality, show up unapologetically, and understand that their worth extends far beyond scores and rankings.
